About
Organisers tips for planning your team building event
The following tips are here to help you plan your day! If you have any questions, the Red Herring team is here to help!
- The first thing to do is to decide on a date. Once you have that you can make a decision about your start & finish times. Our treasure hunts are 1.5 - 2 hours long so make sure to plan that into your day!
- Decide on which zone/location you would like to go for. We would recommend choosing a zone/location that is close to your offices/venue. Once decided, you will need to arrange how you are getting to your playing field. It may be a short walk away, if not, make sure there is public transport available to your teams.
- You will need to arrange a space to brief your team, whether that be at your offices, a venue or your local bar. If there is a screen available for us to use that’s even better!
- Get your group split into teams and make sure you assign the team leaders. This will be the person that will be supplying the smartphone. Make sure you tell them to come equipped with a fully charged phone!
- Get the team prepped - You will need to make sure they are wearing comfy shoes and appropriate clothing for all weather types.
- This activity is suitable for all ages and mobility types. The distance you cover is down to you and your teams, take as many breaks as you want!
